Membership Policy

Bar Association Membership Policy

Purpose:
This policy establishes guidelines for eligibility, benefits, and responsibilities for bar association members, ensuring a professional and inclusive environment that supports the legal community.

Membership Types:

  1. Student: 

    • Pre-Law or Current Law Students.

    • Valid for 12 Months

  2. Associate:

    • New Attorney (0-3 Years of Practice)

    • Legal Professionals (non-attorneys)

    • Valid for 12 Months

  3. General:

    • Licensed Attorneys (3+ Years of Practice)

    • Judges​

    • Commissioners

    • Retired Legal Professionals

    • Valid for 12 Months

  4. Lifetime:

    • For Any Legal Professional

    • Valid Until Canceled

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants must meet the requirements for their membership type.

  • Membership is subject to approval by the bar association.

  • Members must adhere to the association’s Code of Conduct and policies.

Membership Benefits:

  • Access to networking events, continuing education, and professional development resources.

  • Inclusion in the bar association directory.

  • Discounts on events, seminars, and partner services.

  • Opportunities for mentorship, leadership, and community engagement.

Membership Dues:

  • Membership dues are determined annually and are non-refundable.

  • Waiver of fees are available for students.

  • Failure to pay dues by the renewal deadline may result in membership suspension.

Renewal and Termination:

  1. Renewal:

    • Members must renew annually to maintain active status.

    • Proof of eligibility (e.g., enrollment or license in good standing) may be required.

  2. Termination:

    • Membership may be terminated for failure to adhere to association policies, non-payment of dues, or misconduct.

Amendments:

The bar association reserves the right to amend this policy with 30 days' notice to members.
